Privacy Policy

The Cereda Group offers special solutions and services throughout Germany in the business areas of Chemistry & Hygiene and Communication Technology.
We thank you for visiting our website. The secure handling of your data is particularly important to us. We would therefore like to inform you in detail about the use of your data when visiting our website.

Legal Basis for Processing
Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR serves as the legal basis for our company for processing operations where we obtain consent for a specific processing purpose. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, as is the case, for example, with processing operations necessary for the delivery of goods or the provision of any other service or consideration, the processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR. The same applies to processing operations that are necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, for example in cases of inquiries about our products or services. If our company is subject to a legal obligation requiring the processing of personal data, such as for the fulfillment of tax obligations, the processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR. In rare cases, the processing of personal data may become necessary to protect vital interests of the data subject or another natural person, Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. d GDPR. Finally, processing operations could also be based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Processing operations that are not covered by any of the aforementioned legal bases are based on this legal basis if the processing is necessary to protect a legitimate interest of our company or a third party, provided that the interests, fundamental rights, and freedoms of the data subject do not prevail.

Disclosure of Data
Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We only share your personal data with third parties if:

  • You have given your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR,

  • the disclosure is necessary pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in the non-disclosure of your data,

  • in the event that a legal obligation exists for the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR, and

  • this is legally permissible and required pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR for the processing of contractual relationships with you.

Rights of Data Subjects
You have the right:

  • pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you may request information about the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data if not collected from us, as well as the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, where applicable, meaningful information about its details;

  • pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR to request the immediate rectification of inaccurate or completion of your personal data stored by us;

  • pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR to request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims;

  • pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR to request the restriction of processing of your personal data, insofar as the accuracy of the data is contested by you, the processing is unlawful but you oppose erasure and we no longer need the data, but you require it for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, or you have objected to processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR;

  • pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format or to request transmission to another controller;

  • pursuant to Art. 22 GDPR not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing—including profiling—which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you;

  • pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR to withdraw your consent at any time. This means that we may no longer continue the data processing based on this consent in the future; and

  • pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR you have the right, without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As a rule, you may contact the supervisory authority of your habitual residence or place of work or the place of the alleged infringement if the data subject believes that the processing of personal data concerning them violates the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Cookies
Our website uses cookies. A cookie is a data record that is created when visiting a website and temporarily stored on the user's system. When the server of our website is accessed again by the user, the user's browser sends the previously received cookie back to the server. The server can evaluate the information obtained through this process. Cookies can, for example, control advertising or facilitate navigation on a website. Cookies are partly necessary to enable the functionality of our website operations (the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, the protection of the legitimate interests of the operator of this website—we use cookies only in accordance with Art. 5 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, i.e., in accordance with the principles of "lawfulness, processing in good faith, transparency").
If you wish to prevent the use of cookies in general, you can do so through local settings in your internet browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, or Safari). If the cookies are not technically necessary, you will find further information about cookies used by tools and plugins in this privacy policy.

Consent Management Platform consentmanager
To obtain consent on our website for the processing of your device information and personal data via cookies or other tracking technologies, we use our consent tool "consentmanager." With "consentmanager," you have the option to consent to or reject the processing of your device information and personal data via cookies or other tracking technologies for the purposes listed in "consentmanager." Such processing purposes may include the integration of external elements, integration of streaming content, statistical analysis, reach measurement, individualized product recommendations, and individualized advertising. With "consentmanager," you can grant or refuse consent for all processing purposes or grant or refuse consent for individual purposes or individual third-party providers. The settings you have made can also be changed by you subsequently. The purpose of integrating "consentmanager" is to give users of our website the decision about setting cookies and similar functionalities and to offer the possibility to change settings already made during further use of our website. In the course of using "consentmanager," personal data and information from the devices used are processed by us. Your data is also sent to consentmanager (consentmanager AB, Håltegelvägen 1b, 72348 Västerås, Sweden). The information about the settings you have made is also stored on your device. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7 para. 1 GDPR, insofar as the processing serves to fulfill the legally standardized documentation obligations for granting consent. Otherwise, Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR is the relevant legal basis. Our legitimate interests in processing lie in storing user settings and preferences regarding the use of cookies and evaluating consent rates. Twelve months after the user settings have been made, consent is requested again. The user settings made are then stored again for this period unless you delete the information about your user settings beforehand in the designated device capacities. You may object to the processing insofar as the processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR. Your right to object exists for reasons arising from your particular situation. You can send us your objection using the contact details specified in the "Controller" section.

Scope and Purpose of Data Collection
If you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g., contact and communication data, application documents, notes from interviews, etc.) to the extent necessary for the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 of the new German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG-neu) under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (general contract initiation), and—if you have given consent—Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. After the retention period expires, the data will be deleted unless there is a statutory retention obligation or another legal reason for further storage. If it is apparent that the retention of your data will be necessary after the retention period expires (e.g., due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place when the data has become irrelevant. Other statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
